What does ‘heat’ do?
Heat causes the blood vessels to dilate, bringing more blood to an area, which brings oxygen, protein and nutrients – helping muscles and joints become more flexible and move more freely. This process also helps repair damaged tissue so may aid the healing process.

What the Deep Heat products can be used for?
Deep Heat products are suitable for the relief of muscular aches, pains and stiffness including back pain. Deep Heat Heat Rub, Deep Heat Max Strength and Deep Heat Heat Spray can also be used before/after exercise.

Are Deep Heat products suitable for the relief of rheumatic pain?
Deep Heat Heat Rub, Deep Heat Heat Spray and Deep Heat Max Strength are suitable for rheumatic pain.
Deep Heat Pain Relief patch provides therapeutic pain relief for joint stiffness and sore muscles, helping to restore movement.

Who is Deep Heat suitable for?
Deep Heat medicines are suitable for adults, the elderly and children over the age of 5 but we would recommend that you discuss a child’s symptoms with your doctor or pharmacist if you are concerned. Deep Heat Patch is not recommended for children. Please read the leaflet or the product packaging for specific information about warnings and precautions before use.

Do all Deep Heat products smell?
No – Deep Heat Patches are completely odourless and provide up to 16 hours of effective pain relief*. Ideal to help get you through the day.
*The patch activates within 1 minute and will heat up within 5 minutes providing penetrating warmth for up to 8 hours. Once removed it can continue to provide pain relief for a further 8 hours.

Can Deep Heat products be used by diabetics?
Before you use Deep Heat products you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other regular medication. This includes medicines prescribed by your doctor and medicines that you have bought without prescription.

Can Deep Heat products be used in conjunction with another topical treatment?
Do not use on the same area as other topical treatments.

Can Deep Heat products be used at the same time as oral painkillers?
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist before using any Deep Heat medicines if you are taking or have recently taken oral painkillers or any other medicines. This includes medicines you have bought without a prescription. There is no reason why Deep Heat Pain Relief Patch cannot be used at the same time as oral painkillers

Can you use Deep Heat products if you are pregnant or breastfeeding?
As with all pain relieving products, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using Deep Heat during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Keep moving Avoid lying in bed and remain active as far as possible, even if you’re uncomfortable. This won’t harm your back, and you can expect to get better more quickly. Keep positive and stay active by doing the things you enjoy.
Heat and cold therapy Deep Heat Pain Relief Heat Patch can relieve pain for up to 16 hours from tense muscles. While cold from Deep Freeze Pain Relief Cold Patch can help relieve discomfort from sudden back pain. Read the label.
Painkillers ‘Rub-on’ (topical) treatments such as Deep Heat Heat Rub or Deep Heat Max Strength are effective in pain relief with the added benefit of heat. Stronger medicines are an additional option when simpler ones are not working. Ask your pharmacist.
